Absolutely appalling airline
Absolutely appalling airline. I've been trying to get a refund for the flight they cancelled for weeks. Do t book with them!

BE AWARE
Be aware. They overbook the flights and board them in the order first joined the cue , first served. I booked a plane ticket from april. And at the gate, because i didn t hurry to board and have been wating patiently , they almost refused my boarding do to overbooking. I was lucky that i did my check in earlier than the other 5 left. If they have an overbooked flight, they should board it in the order of the bought tickeys not in the order of how people are crowding in line for boarding....What a garbage of a company....I wish they get broke....

Absolutely atrocious customer service
Absolutely atrocious customer service, please do not fall for their cheaper fair as they will be robbing you of your money and cancelling your flight last minute without any reimbursement. Customer service costs money/minute, yet the agents keep you on hold for 40 minutes then hang up. I booked a ticket for 5 family members as they were visiting me from Canada and I wanted to take them to Rome, was all excited to show them Europe, yet wizz air ruined it by cancelling the departing flight from Rome, leaving us in shambles as they would only refund the departing flight, yet by this point all other flight options were 3-4 times the price and we needed 5 tickets. Called them several times, only to be put on hold and then hung up on, despite being charged for the calls per minute. These were 30-40 minute calls. Basically got zero help from them and wasted my money on the flights and hotels in the next city as the times no longer matched. Definitely never using this airline again and will not be recommending it to others. Please avoid at all costs. Pay more and save yourself the hassle.

Wizzair is the most incompetent and…
Wizzair is the most incompetent and unprofessional air line on this side of Europe. Please, don't book any flight with them - they will cancel it and tell you - sorry we will take few months to get your refund process. I had 3 flight cancelled in July 2022 - no response to any of my email. They will sent you some email with fake links you should use that don't work and you would would never be able to request any refund, flight change or compensation due to their cancelled flights. Please, don't use this airline - this is a scam !!!

Worst company, AVOID AT ALL COST
Worst company! Cheat to get your money… Could not do the checkin in the app as I kept on getting an error code, thried over 10 times with multiple appliances but the app is badly built. Options were to pay 15 € for a helpline call where they could not fix the issue. Only option left was to checkin at the airport where they charged me 85€ for the checkin alone!! 50€ flight ticket ended up costing 150€. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!

Digital Airline
I used a few times Wizz Air within Europe. Budget Airline, efficient, no frills. Everything what a low cost airline is about.

Then I had a short trip (3 days) from Sofia to Abu Dhabi. Flights cancelled 10 days before departure, no alternative flights (with other airline) offered within the statuatory timeframes. Also no reason for the cancellation given.

Here comes the EU regulation 261/2004 into play. EUR 600 for each flight, independent of the ticket price you paid.

From a digital company you can expect efficient processes. Wizz Air has a generic claim form, which can be filled out. If you are not happy with the outcome you can ask for a deadlock letter and go for alternative dispute resolution. Wizz Air works with Aviation ADR in UK for dispute resolution (a little bit bureaucratic, many forms, but it works).

Another way is to use a claim or law company specialized in aviation rights (which charges 22 to 35 % collection fee for 261/2004 cases. Wizz Air states on their website they will deduct 50 EUR for claims submitted by law companies, but this is in my view illegal).

Wizz Air works however together with these companies and even has a special online form for them, where law companies can submit detailed claims on behalf of their customer. Critical question to Wizz Air: Why this form is not offered to consumers?

Follow the processes of a digital company and you will be compensated according to the law.

Not very customer friendly, Wizz Air also needs to make money. No frills, low cost and all tricks to avoid claims. But their IT systems have been set up to process claims.

Much success with your case. My experience: Avoid outsourced Wizz Air call centers, which are set up fob off customers.

With Wizz Air you can do everything online yourself. Engaging a law firm will ensure, your case goes directly to the Wizz Air legal department.

First and definitely last experience with wizz air!
Complete rip off company!
Booked a package deal with a reputable company, wizz air Cancelled the flight at the gate, holiday was refunded immediately by said travel agent, but wizz air have refused to refund the extra baggage, wizz priority and seat selection I paid for via the wizz app because I didn't book the flight with them!
Scam and rip off, lesson learned!
Don't touch them......

Flight cancelled, no reps at the airport. They just left us figuring it out on our own.
LTN -> KRK 18.07
The flight got canceled, and people on the WizzAir ticket stand said they don't care that I don't have a place to stay, and pointed out they are not working for WizzAir. Spent 3hrs in a queue for the cancellation to see that reps just disappear. Then, 1hr on the phone, got promised that during next hour someone will contact me and offer accommodation. Of course, I didn't get contacted and had to find a place on my own.
The ticket was 300$, so I was kinda hoping for someone to take care of the situation.
Very disappointed.

Shambles of course
Hopefully you’re reading all the terrible reviews prior to booking. If not then good luck. Absolute shambles of an airline. New route London to Croatia began on the 4th July. Almost all cancelled especially the Monday flights. Using the excuse of ‘too windy’ which is a blatant lie. They cancelled our flight last night and blamed it on that. The weather was as still as anything. Just an excuse to not pay compensation. No Wizz air staff at airport and no flight offered to get you home. Basically you have to fend for yourself Other airlines love it though. BA fare back to London increased 80% as soon as Wizz air confirmed cancellation. Save yourselves and don’t use ‘Swizz Air’.

Never again. Worse airline in the world
I am so frustrated with how everything was handled bu the airline on a canceled flight. Its super crazy how you made people wait for 5hours delaying the flight, then made everyone wait at the gate for 2 hours when you knew you won’t board and flight was canceled long time ago.
No one turned up at the desk, no help, no info on how to pick up your check in bag. No help booking transportation or hotel in the middle of the night after canceling the flight and delaying for 8h!!!
No staff available to help! Nothing!

Little kids, moms and people with disabilities were literally in the airport for 8h… no connection in Luton airport for phone, internet to let our loved once know we are ok.
No staff to tell us the flight was cancelled, no information on the board- just to go to the gate!

When calling today customer service-i got screamed at!!! I swear, for no reason, just got screamed at to shut up ! Super rude…

Your customer service is so disrespectful, disgusting and didn’t even say sorry to hear about what happened. The worst ever!!!!

After hours waiting on the phone I got screamed at and then hanged up on… !!! Plus the phone line is 1.45£ per minute!!! What the hell is this?

I was never treated like that in my entire life… absolutely ridiculous! After I paid 200 pounds for a 3h flight… are you serious???

Wizz air is the most hellish experience…
Wizz air is the most hellish experience I have ever had. They cancelled my flight the moment I showed up at the airport after having to walk an hour to get there. I had payed for insurance against that but all they offered was 1 night in a hotel and a refund despite me reiterating i had to get a flight home the same day as i had another one early next morning so i could not do that. The staff were rude and disinterested and originally sent me to the Ryanair desk at the other end of the airport saying they would help me. The Ryanair staff frustratedly told me and everyone else they had sent there it had nothing to do with them. I think it is outragous a company can get away with blatantly not offering the service they advertise. DO NOT TRUST THEM THEY ARE THE WORST AIRLINE EVER!!!

The worst company
The worst company! Never ever chose them !!

I called in to cancel my reservation 2 of July 2022 and they got my information bank and swift number and they said they will send the refund back within 7 working days!

And I called them 8 days after and asked them for my money and they said they are on the way !

I then they said it will go 15 days before the money comes.

And now 20 days after they said, they never registered any cancelation!!!

They are the worst company!!!!

You can never reach them, nore on the phone ore on email !!!
